CF30 – FINRA recognition … finally!

Just when you had given up hope, FINRA have finally recognized the CF30 prerequisite.  If you like “regulatorspeak” and want to know all the details you can following this link:  http://bit.ly/HPBIRo but in English this means that properly registered people in the UK may be eligible to act as a General Securities Representative in the US, by obtaining the Limited Registered Representative (IE) registration.  The IE registration is obtained by meeting certain criteria (details on the above link) and by passing the Series 17 exam.  The IE registration allows individuals to act as a General Securities Representative without having to sit  the Series 7 exam but you can’t conduct business in municipal securities.

Wallace Cititraining provide Series 17, 7 and all US regulatory exam material, can take fingerprints, offer Virtual Classes and On Demand Lectures to make your life easier.  If you need any assistance just call us on 020 7379 0504.

Virtual Classroom

More courses + more often = greater flexibility

A new approach to intensive training - our Virtual Classes  allow you to prepare intensively for a Series exam from your home or office.

Requiring only a computer, broadband connection, speakers or a phone, these classes are live public tutorials delivered by one of our US specialist instructors. When you join the class you can hear the instructor, see the PowerPoint presentation, ask questions and make notes – quite simply everything you would do in a real classroom.

The objectives of Virtual Classrooms are to:

  • Consolidate what you have learnt at home.
  • Bring the subject matter to life and help you remember it.
  • Provide focus on what are likely to be the most heavily tested parts of the syllabus.
  • Remove the fear factor by giving you the confidence and knowledge in how to prepare for and approach your exam.
  • Provide a useful and important virtual forum for discussion.

 Why a Virtual Class?

  • More classes, more often – run by our 40-strong team of US Series instructors.
  • Scheduled classes or Tailor-made training- you choose from a ‘public’ virtual class. OR one-to-one or small group training, tailored to your specific needs.
  • No travel costs, no time costs.

What do you get?

  • Downloadable presentation.
  • Integrated polling questions addressing key learning objectives.
  • Post-session homework assignments.
  • Chat feature for asking questions.

When?

Scheduled classes – for dates please contact us
Tailored training – when do you need it?

Be Prepared?

You will be expected to have developed a good working knowledge of the study material before attending a Virtual Class. The sessions cover the more difficult aspects of the training program – they are not designed to present the material anew.

We need the following…

Note: Students must use the WCT Homestudy or STC Homestudy training program as the basis for their presentation for a Virtual Class.

Quick, reasonable fingerprinting in cool surroundings

wallace cititraining runs a finger printing service to help you or your staff with exam applications or transfers to another firm. If you would like to arrange fingerprinting (and by the way it's more pleasant via us than going to a police station), please note the following:

• it takes around 20 mins

• it's at our offices in Covent Garden

• you will need to bring with you your current passport or EU style driving licence

• it costs £45 per person (3 fingerprint cards)

• if there's a group of you (10 or more), we can arrange to come to you (please call for more details)

To make an appointment (we need to know to expect you) call Kate Hagan 020 7379 0504.  To find out more about Series exams and fingerprinting go to our website.
